Google Talk is also a very weak product. Google might be good a search but they sure don't know a thing about the IM community. Using software on the basis of binary size is akin buying a computer because its color is "Blueberry".

You bet your ass messenger 8 will be larger, but it will also have some things that have been requested for a long time and no I am not talking about the "list" you guys saw before.

I am talking about things that you have never seen done in any messenger before that will blow you away.

NDA's in this case and the fact that some of the features are patent pending really sucks:(

i think people have been requesting MSN to take off their useless junk. You need a larger installer for that?

They REALLY REALLY should make a messenger lite version or something. way too much bloat-ware on the current versions and one guesses it will only get worse

MSN messenger became buggy, and its still dont have the full features which Yahoo have, i think they have to imrpove it really instead of taking it to the wrong way.

What features other than offline messaging are they missing in comparison to yahoo?

I am unaware of bloat within Messenger, I am aware of more tools than other messengers have for expressing feeling and the like. As I said the new features I have seen personally demoed right in front of me are enormously useful.

Its not the usual new emoticon/muggin/etc type stuff. It's actually useful stuff that helps sharing and productivity and I cant really say more than that.
