i'm waiting for apple to do this from factory. 4GB is waaaaaaaaay too small for me. although my next HDD mp3 player migt be an iPod 60GB.

It is possible, i also know someone who is very experienced with soldering. I'm pretty sure he can do this also. If you look closely at the photos you're able to see that the right one is factory soldered, and the left one is done by himself.
