i transferred all my music to my powerbook when i got it. i then proceeded to spend a fair amount of time tidying things up extensively, and adding artwork. since i'm soon going lossless, i decided to move my collection to another machine and share the tunes out using iTune's inbuilt sharing functionality (so neat wub.gif ). which brings me to my question. i realy dont wanna lose all the artwork i added, so i was wondering how to preserve the artwork when moving the music collection over. i know mp3s have the image embedded in them, well, i think so anyway, but what about m4as?

anyone?

oh, it looks like the artwork is embedded into both mp3 and m4a. nice one.

yeah, itunes has automatically displayed artwork on files that ive moved to other machines

you can just copy the files and let ituned rebuild the library, but it'll save some time and CPU if you export the library XML file and reimport that as well
