Edit: A quick look on the contest's blog says that this flickr stream has been around since the 11th. Not much progress since :S

Cool, although i wonder how directx will perform. I have a simple question, can it play windows opengl/directx games and use the appropriate ati drivers for windows with that?

i don't see why not! ati have drivers for the x1600 series, so it SHOULD be a case of just installing them. the VGA BIOS provides minimal functionality when in the OS environment (if indeed it does anything at all), so with a little bit of luck it should be golden.

onmac.net now says the contest has been won. the forums are down - again! so it's hard to get any concrete details on it still.

update: mobility radeon drivers do not work as yet, should hopefully be a matter of time.
