Bush backs Brother Jeb for White House

Frankly, I don't think anyone named Bush has a snowballs chance in hell for any presidential office for quite awhile...

Everyone from Russia to Iran is kinda nervous about the US...

Inside the USA...man..people are just waiting for 2009....

Sinbad
Uh, well, based on Jeb's comments, doesn't sound like he wants to be president.

<long dramatic>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!</long dramatic>
raum
no, the republicans should let Gore run uncontested.

it will be the end of the democrats claim to power

and we can quit focusing on a bipartisan option for leadership.

<do not want Jeb Bush. not a good fit for the oval office.>
Brains
the complete neocon, republican mindframe is not a good fit for the most influencial position in this world raum.

we see where that has gotten us to. rolleyes.gif

be honest if you want to criticize the president.

he got a Iraq clinton ignored and an afghanistan that Reagan forgot.

he's dealing with an iran carter feared and he's dealing with a palestine clinton opposed.

so he can't deal with everything and his domestic issues.

what president has EVER had so many eruptions of foreign, natural, AND domestic crisis, and solidly handled them all?

none. i have criticisms, but that man has well earned respect for sheer tenacity and resolve.

he does look kinda funny though.

and he certainly can't talk good as a leadership should be ought to trying for people to understand his reason for deciding to do what needs to be done by a good decider in a way it can be done and in a manner it must be done.

or whatever. some speeches you take with a spoon of salt. his you take with a spoon of nyquil.

You know the phrase... "what is right is not always popular, and what is popular is not always right"

Most past presidents that are considered the "Greatest" did things that the people did not aways like, and were criticied for their actions.

Bush has a lot of shit to deal with. Just because he is not doing what some people want, doesnt make him a bad president. He is doing what he thinks is right for everybody.

And for him looking funny... he is old and he is president, and it would take a lot out of you, physicly and mentaly...

I have to agree with most of what raum said. I'm a conservative republican, to a point, but I do not always agree with everything Bush says or has done. But you still have to look at the facts, ignore the leftist media, and realize that he has done a pretty decent job overall. And it's ignorant to blame him for all the domestic and foreign problems we have had/are having, don't forget about the 435 people sitting on one side of the capital building and the other 100 people on the other side.

Jeb Bush said he wouldn't run, he does not want to be president. More likely he'd rather wait until 2012 if a democrat (shudder!) gets the presidency in 2008 or 2016 after another republican finishes out 2 terms.

33% approval rating. When the majority of voters voted for him...

You cant be serious about this man doing a good job....

The only thing I admire about him is how he can take so many 'working vacations'
Jizzylax
i admire the fact that he says whatever the fuck he wants (Mexicans SHOULD learn English if they live here!!!!), but other than that, there's not much I admire about el Presidente.

to the guys who said bush has a LOT on his hands, half the shit that he's having to fix, he is the reason the problems arised in the first place. ie. Iraq (with no WMD is in war for being accused of having WMDs)

Not quite. Most of the major problems in the ME have been around for a long time. Just so happens now Bush is the one to take action.

Not debating whether they were right or wrong actions, but this is the fact.

What would are country be like with Jeb in? It sounds more like sometime in the middle east than the us. Why should that even be allowed?
There are aother good choices out there. We need some good cleanup.

ok wow. some of you guys dont like bush. lol that point is clear to us all.
but he's here. i voted for him. i looked at the two candidates and said bush has more things that i agree with. he is working hard to try and protect this country. look at all that has happened while he has been in office. 9/11 being the first thing he had to deal with. also how many people supported him when he decided to go to war. the numbers were like 85-90% in favor of war.

screw this i am bored with arguing with people. atleast for today. im of to WoW. laters
dkreifus
Actually, I have sincere doubts that 85% of the people supported the war. In fact, the most that ever that EVER supported the war was 46%!

This senate only approved going to war if by the UN resolutions, Sadaam refused to give up the WMDs.

But the UN was against the war, as there were NO WMDs.

9/11 had NOTHING to do with luck. It was his political luck to be in power when it happened.

what is WoW?
Jizzylax
WoW = World of Warcraft = lame game

And yes, you might have the 85% statistic slightly skewed ... laugh.gif

Well, statistics are always skewed/biased. Even though statistics are supposed to establish a non-biased viewpoint on a certain subject/opinion; however more and more the people that I've seen that supported Bush and the War in Iraq seems to have distanced themselves from the subject while later on detaching themselves from the scope entirely.

I'm not a supporter of Bush; however I'm not going to flame him either. I think that hes trying to do good, but may be conflicted by other things and may be using the wrong methods in order to do what he thinks is right for the world...yes the world...because honestly he is not focusing on the United States as much as he should be.

that is all for now.

True. Being a bozo makes him a bad president.

Not doing what some people want and doing what some other people want makes him bought and paid for.

ah crap bringing back a controversial thread.
