Hey everyone, I just got back from Vegas, and now a lot of sites I visit have the following add-on wanting to run:

IPB Image

It's not just ieX, but Mess.be, Neowin, and even Time.com. I'm sure a lot more have it as well, but I didn't look at very many other websites today. Is this something I should be worrying about? I've done complete virus scans and adware/spyware scans.

First time I've seen that. Try uninstalling Quicktime and then re-installing it.

Does it really have something to do with my Quicktime installation?

I'm not familiar with that particular add-on prompt, but some Googling on the subject quickly confirmed it to be in reference to a QuickTime component called 'QuickTimeCheck.ocx'.

Therefore I too would be very supicious of your QuickTime installation. Especially given the number of sites upon which it appears.

On that note, I also wouldn't consider it to be an ieX problem, so ... **topic moved**

I'll be damned, reinstalling worked fine. I wonder what caused that to happen. Thank you both for your recommendation.

Probably that OCX had become unregistered and/or it was deleted from the system.

You're welcome though regulator. Glad we could help.
