well a friend of mijn has this CSV file, and i tried to import the file though phpmyadmin using the csv function..


hoever...


some files are causing some problems...

They have names like het oude "limburg"""" since the files contains over 6000! lines, i can't/wont do it the manual way.. (it'll take forever...)

i searched the net for some coverters, and i did find some yet they all charge 20-50 bucks.. and i aint buying a program that i intend to use 1x


and for some odd reason the csv was created with office 2003 (office 11) using excel, yet if you now try to open it, it'll crash excel :S

ne1 know a free program?

i found 1 java based program yet i askes me for a XML fie (wich i dont have its cvs...)

I think you have the wrong file...

wrom file?? its absolutely the same file... and still askes me to give me a XML DESCRIPTOR file...

ok i found 1 xml file in the root

and then if i load it it show me this...

ok i've aranged it better, the client wish was so smart to include multiple """" and to insert / instead of - (i told him dont do it, it wont work with sql...)

so now he gotta manually edit ~6000 lines of cvs ..


thnx ne way for the help..., its fine now...

heck the files (CVS) was so seriously messed ut, if you tried to open it with excel 2003+sp1 it would crash excel....
