I'm having some troubles getting Windows installer to work on NT 5 Beta 2. Anyone know how I can get it to work?

It has this crappy MS installer but it doesn't work at all.

It probably won't work, just to let you know. Because that's a beta OS and Windows Installer detects what version of windows is running and won't install. What does it come up and say when you try and install it?

I think you're out of luck to tell you the truth. I believe Windows Installer requires Windows 2000 (sp4) or Windows XP+

Depends which version of Windows Installer Scott as v3.1 requires W2K SP3, XP, or 2K3.

v2.0 will certainly work on W2K SP0, but who knows as to W2K Beta 2.

hoe bout extracting the files, and registering the dll files and such through a batch script?

all you gotta do is, have a win2k pc, without installer V2, check the changes that are made with installer2 and smile.gif, do your thing with batch and voila (it might work...)
