I have a bunch of clients in my network that are pointing at an old update server that no longer exists and i need to somehow change these clients to point to the new server.

we use a program called Track-IT to audit our network, and everything is windows server based, active directory etc.

is there an easy way to modify this software without having to log into every computer and change it manuely? or in some cases remove and reinstall?

is there some type of script i could run? or anything like that, i dont know much about this program as i am new to this Company and this was given to me as a project to look into.

Any suggestions would be helpful

Thanks.

You could modify the HOSTS file on the effected computers to point the old domain to the new one. All you'd have to do is make a hosts file that does it, and then it could be distributed to the computers by a login script.
