Ok heres the deal, i'm not entirely sure how i'm going to do this but i have a large picture and need to create a web based application to zoom and and look at the picture, the quality of the picture is extremely important so i cannot really afford to loose any quality. I thought of doing it in flash but to be honest im not that great with flash.
Any ideas guys?

There are probably quite a few java applets that do this sort of thing, you should try to find one of those. I can't think of a way to do it with JScript/HTML and you couldn't really do it real time server side without some nifty google-maps-like AJAX work. I think a java applet or similar is the way to go with this.
Take a look at the picture script on this site (the small screenshots, click them). Is that what you mean?
I don't know how to write it, but I'd like to know as well.

Do you mean the attach picture feature of IPB, or did you mean to link to a site?
The IPB picture attachments are basic thumbnail generation.
*ROFL* I'm so stupid, whaha.

I'm not sure that's what he's after, that's more of a thumbnail system. The way the question is worded sounds to me more like the zoom feature of google maps, image wise.
Oh okay. But anyway, do you know how to do it?
