I just want to make sure my thinking is correct. I currently have 100Mb Router (wireless) and I use the built in switch to connect to my desktop machines. I would like to go gigabit, but I don't want to buy a new router until the Wireless-N stuff is finalized. If I purchase a gigabit switch, I can run gigabit on everything connected to that switch (minus the router) and the router will not degrade network performance to devices connected to that switch, right? The only purpose of the router will be to serve as a wireless AP and a DHCP server.
