all i find is a avi to mov, didn't found a avi --> mov converter...

Mov is quick time, It's possible that its only available commercially. However you could still try free-codecs.com
oh and i dont care if its paid or free, ok free is prefered, yet if its a 30day trail orso its ok with me too

Free-Codecs has all sorts.
found 1 yet how to i know if its compatible with darwin streaming media server (the one provided by dreamhost?)
i tried 1 (xillian soft?, in demo it made a 5 mine thingy, placed it, like the wiki dreamhost said, yet it didn't really play any movie...
