Looked around didn't see this anywhere...

Longhorn Reloaded is a Project dedicated to the revival of the Operating System known as Code Name "Longhorn". To put the projects aims simply, we aim to finish off what Microsoft started before the operating system was canceled. It is a modification of Windows 6.0.4074, which was originally released during the 2004 Windows Hardware Engineers Conference.

If old or pointless delete i thought it was interesting.

Hmm, interesting. I'm curious about the legality issues around it. Clearly, MS has something to say about this and what exactly does the beta license say about this? What are the legality issues of some one downloading and using this?

This is still beta so people can expect bugs, but out of curiosity, what are the hardware requirements?

edit: for those who want to see it:

Ya, really i have no clue on the legality issue, i came across this on StumbleUpon and it seemed interesting from what i read MS has yet to respond to it so i dunno....

I saw it smeared all over digg and reddit. If it's on those sites, then you know MS knows about it.

Forget the legality issues... Who the hell would want to run an early beta? Back then it felt more like an alpha. It will have serious stability issues, no security updates, and driver compatibility problems. The whole thing is a joke, and I can't believe they're wasting their time on it! blink.gif
