What Am I capable of doing?
1.- Via any mail client, can send sms messages to any area that covers the local phone company.
2.- Webmail clients can be sent notifications (sms messages) when an e-mail arrives.
3.- Have set up a website, from which sms messages can be sent.
4.- As future, you can even make it work internationally!.
About 2 month ago, I bought the cheapest GPRS enabled mobil, SonyEricsson K310i, I connected it to have internet access to wapsites anywhere. The transfer of Internet packets is done via Radio waves and any GSM/GPRS modem receives the conection and transfers it to the Internet, I think there is a router involved too.
Then decided to set up my own wapsite (wml) then changed it to (XHTML) of course I had to configure my apache server to handle incoming requests for my wapsite.
With the help of the power of php, Apache and Mysql, I can check mail, upload, download files that the mobil phones operating system lets you do.
HERE COMES THE QUESTION AND THE REQUEST FOR HELP:
I interchanged lots of e-mails with the people at siemens, they finally told me to enable my Modem to work as a GPRS Modem and gave me a group of AT commands to configure it.
One of those instructions relates to a "yourGPRSgateway.com.gprs".
Can I, once my modem is ready for any GPRS conection, be able to receive, via dial up to my phone, GPRS or Internet conections that eventually will go to my Apache server?
Is that possible?
Can I substitute the "yorGPRSgateway.com.gprs" for my Own WebSite, since there is a dns server involved in this process of setting up a wap Gateway?
Regards
