Hi,

I got some problem and am interested if anyone else had it. Problem: I did install one of these Vista Service packs. Then I wanted to install another (newer) one but installation says - SP already installed.

I tried uninstalling older one but with no luck. uninstallation runs smoothly, and when I reboot PC - Service pack is BACK! I disabled system restore, tried unisntalling several times - SP stuck on my PC:)

I'm too lazy to do clean install - and I know that there is no option to repair like it was in XP

I can not do upgrade as it says that I got newer version than the one on DVD:)

Any ideas before I'm forced to do clean install and reactivate OS with MS (Auto activation never worked for me)

I have VISTA business 32 bit if that helps

Thanks
Illrigger
You're going to be stuck with the reinstall if the uninstall of the SP didn't work. Such is the price of playing with beta software. If you install over the top of your current one without reformatting, you can drag your data back out of Windows.Old when you're done, so you can do the reload without a backup if you want. You will still need to reinstall your apps, tho.
