Well it's becoming law on April 1st, 2008 in my city that you will require a wireless/wired headset if you wish to talk and drive at the same time. I had lost my old Motorola headset, the damn thing never worked right anyways, and decided to pick up a new one. My friend Ryan mentioned that he had recently bought the "Plantronics Explorer 220 Bluetooth Headset". I didn't want to spend a whole lot, and $60.00 seemed like it was within my budget at BestBuy so I picked it up.

First I'll start on sound quality:

The headset has a wrap around plastic that goes over your ear and the speaker lines up perfectly into your ear when worn. The sound is just as good or better than my current Sony w850i phone. The sound quality is crystal clear. Also the listener on the other end can hear me perfectly. As a test we both were outside, little bit of wind, called each other and we both could hear perfectly clear. No distortion at all.

Range:

The range is great, and expected from any Bluetooth headset. I put the phone in my kitchen and walked a good 25-30 feet to the other end of the room and it was still crystal clear. I assume that would be around the maximum range for any headset operating on Bluetooth.

Comfort:

This is the first headset that I forgot it was on my ear. After a few hours of wearing it, I didn't feel it anymore and it didn't bother me one little bit. My friend is in agreement and often forgets he is wearing it as well.

The last time I have used a Plantronics audio device was when I had my Audio 90s headset, mainly used for CS. Comfort, I assume, is a top priority on Plantronics' list. Comfort, I think, is something a few companies forget about...

Looks:

Well it looks like any other headset. I wish it was full gloss black, but I guess I can't complain tongue.gif.

All in all, I have no complaints about it. It pairs with the normal 0000 pair code and seems to work well with a few phones I tried.
