Hey, so I have a WRT-150N router. I also have a DWA-643 (D-Link Expresscard 34 Wireless Card). If I'm running DD-WRT on the router the card will only connect at G/54 speeds. If I tell the router in DD-WRT to use N-Only, I cannot connect.
First troubleshooting step I took was to re-install the wireless card thinking that the drivers might be an issue. That solved nothing. So I put factory DD-WRT defaults on (restored them), still not helping. Then I loaded the newest Linksys firmware on it and it works fine, connects at 300mbps.
So I'm wondering, does anyone know if DD-WRT has a bug in their code about N speeds on this router?
Thanks!
Hmmm I seem to have solved the issue. There is another person develloping DD-WRT firmware. If you want to check it out go to:
http://dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/dd-wrt/downloads.html, "others", "eko", the latest "Brain Slayer", then your chipset.
Fixed my N issues instantly!

I have the WRT300N (I think it's the same as the 150, but has USB + gigabit) and there's a Brainslayer FW for my router too. I've been using v24RC6.2, is there a big difference between with Brainslayer?
CORRECTION: I have the WRT350N, not the 300.
Not much visual wise, but i find that whne I'm downloading torrents now that my router doesn't reboot, it's very stable with this firmware. Hasn't rebooted once since i put it on. Amazing. Fixed the phone interference too. (in the past when someone would pick up the cordless phone in my house it would disconnect me, tried different channels, etc). That doesn't happen anymore. It's as stable as my WRT54G now.
What a difference.
Remember you can always go back to stock firmware/older versions of DD-WRT.
