Just was thinking about tech these days and thought I'd write this....
"You know you are living in 2008 when..." or "You are not with the times..."
1. You can update firmware on your TV.
2. Your car tells you when you need to change the oil, and your throttle pedal is connected to a computer instead of the throttle body.
3. Newspapers start to go out of business.
4. You need a converter box to convert digital TV signals to analog TV signals instead of vice versa.
5. You can pick up the phone without the thought of kicking someone off the internet.
6. Your wall sockets work for power... but networking as well, at the same time.
7. You don't bother signing up for an ISP when you move into an apartment building.
8. Your car talks to you, and provides you with directions even if you don't need them.
9. Your parents complain about the "black bars" at the top and bottom of the screen while watching movies/tv.
10. Your parents still don't understand the concept of HD and widescreen, yet they still number 9.
11. Everyone and their dog has HIDs.
12. Your internet, TV and phone services run off the same cable.
13. When the internet goes down, you feel disconnected, at a loss and very bored. (Even if you were only sitting in front of your computer watching TV).
