Today Microsoft has released the RTM version of Hyper-V. To upgrade to RTM, you need to apply KB950050 to the parent partition AND upgrade/install the RTM Integration Services in each virtual machine.

Microsoft.com is even powered by Hyper-V now:

I'm planning to get a new 8-core server in next month just for Hyper-V. I can't want to start consolidating my old servers to it. I'm already running a bunch of things off of Virtual Server, and they will surely be moving to Hyper-V also. smile.gif

Well, as they say, Microsoft eats its own dog food Chug, so no surprise they running Hyper-V.

However, from what I've heard about it, this is good news indeed and should certainly help with virtual servers by bringing 'em closer to the metal et al.

Also, with the increasing number of cores in a system, I see virtualization as one of the next big stages in computing.

Soon our population will not have time for pets.. always money rich, time poor.. in a few years it will be a case of.. which colour should I make my virtual dog? Should I get ten more? The games are already here.. and you´re right, they will only continue. Who needs friends
