I came here just to see what the deal was and notice there are quite a few threads either bashing the US or professing its demise, mainly by our good friend JohnFR(or Zoidberg) my question is does this section need to be renamed from political sanctuary to US Bashing Sanctuary?

I mean really, is there nothing else in the world besides the US that bothers you people?
What about the Georgian conflict, Mugabe trying to swallow up the opposition party in Zimbabwe, or the guy in Germany who gets to keep 7000 euros in startup capital to deal shrooms?

Come on I agree with some degree of anti-american sentiment but seriously this seems to be the whole reason for some to carry on from day to day.

You haven't been watching the news (or not reading them or something), there is a lot of China and Russia bashing going on right now. Sadly, however, they are just amateurs compared to Bush W, when it comes to messing things up.

I am talking about here in this forum you nugget! Not the news in general, that is the reason I brought it up here! It seems this area is only for US bashing.

Yeah, there's always been a lot of U.S.-bashing in here. A lot of it comes from jealousy, I think. Never has bothered me though. I have fun with it. Sometimes I'll post something here just to ruffle their feathers.

Someone who takes politics too seriously is always a great source of amusement.

Jealousy ? I don't think that anyone in Europe wants to touch the U.S system with a 10 meter pole (maybe the the far right wing nuts in Europe, but lucky for us most of them have already moved to the U.S already. Thankfully for the rest of us.).

The U.S bashing comes from the following fact(s). The U.S is messing up for the rest of the world, the part of the world (Europe & parts of Asia) tries to makes things better but the U.S usually manages to mess it up in some creative way.

Now we (Europe) have Russia messing things up (sight) now on top of U.S. China is already messed up, I don't think that there is much that Europe can to do fix what is going on there. That is going to be a problem for Japan one day, I think. But I am not sure.
