I Have been given the task of going through our network shares and fixing the groups permissions and rights of the folders.
Problem is the admin that set up the shares did so by putting individual users on some folders and explicit denies everywhere and no documenting anything.

Is there an App or an easy way to get all the permission information out of the folder structure so i can see what all the permissions are right now? as of right now its looking easyer to just reset ALL the permissions and start over

First of all, a little exposition: EXPLICIT DENIES?!? WTF WAS THE MORON THINKING?!?

Try taking ownership of the folders. If you can do that, you should be able to view the perms. If that doesn't work, save yourself some time and just wipe the perms from the top level and re-create them.
